Inspiration
Mods in the game have always sought to add some functionality that wasn't there before. Taking some inspiration from this mod that allows for deliveries to a remote location, this mod would fill a gap with being able to quickly find resources to exploit as well as find locations for remote strike systems (Spidertron, artillery, etc.).
Solution requirements (compliant with RFC 2119 )
In no particular order:
Mod MUST be documented in code.
There SHOULD be configuration options, they MAY:
Change the scanning Radius
Change the range (or allow for infinite range)
Allow for integration with other planetary mods
The Mod SHOULD be extendable, ie allow for the definition of additional drone types (Attack, crash-build?)
The Mod MAY integrate with other mods and planets. Ideally, this would be something that you can create with basic materials and then be able to construct more and more complex drones.
If permission from Klonan (or Sacredanarchy) can be gotten from their mod, you MAY re-use their code or graphics
